O’Hurleys Heritage Music Jam Session

On any Thursday night, musicians arrive at O'Hurley's and start tuning up with a dozen or more musicians playing their dulcimer, banjo, guitar, fiddle, Celtic harp, flute, etc.Visitors can have a seat in a rocking chair and listen in and experience what has been a timeless tradition.

Live Music at The Event Center at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races

The Event Center will play host to a variety of entertainers, including top musical and comedy acts.  Some highlights include Saturday Nov. 15 with Sara Evans, on Nov. 29 Rodney Carrington, Dec. 6 Montgomery Gentry and just announced, Friday. Christmas In Shepherdstown

Historic town of Shepherdstown will kick off its annual "Christmas in Shepherdstown" celebration on Friday, November 28 and many different events every weekend until Christmas. The November 28 schedule includes evening events such as a bonfire, a chili and cornbread supper, the lighting of the town tree, arrival of Santa, free carriage rides, a live nativity and a Christmas concert at O'Hurley's General Store. Many events throughout the weekends including Nutcracker Ballet, Tuba Christmas, Irish Christmas in America and a Civil War Christmas. Check out the annual Christmas parade on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 11 AM in downtown on German Street. Events and activities will continue to be added so be sure to check out the website or contact the Shepherdstown Visitor Center at 304-876-2786.

Christmas in Downtown Charles Town

Kickoff event Black Friday, November 28 for downtown Merchants 4-7 PM and then join us at the Christmas tree lighting at 7 PM! Followed by Small Business Saturday where you can shop "Big" in our small town! Events throughout the holidays include the Charles Town-Ranson Christmas Parade on Sat. Dec. 6 at 3 PM. Spectators can enjoy the parade along Mildred St. or Washington St. and the theme this year is "Christmas in Toyland".

The Old Opera House presents “A Christmas Story”

The Old Opera House at 204 N. George St. Charles Town WV is proud to present the production of "A Christmas Story", the musical based on the motion picture. This musical follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker and his quest for the Holy Grail of Christmas gifts—an Official Red Ryder air rifle. A Christmas Story, The Musical will bring an exciting new dimension to those who have seen the movie and will stand on its own for those who haven’t.
