Bolivar Community Park

Location:
Description: Just off of Washington Street in the town of Bolivar, sits the Bolivar Community Park. It is an example of how old meets new, as modern playground equipment, benches and picnic tables sit alongside the town's historic spring house. Surrounded by a neighborhood made up of pre-Civil War Era homes made from log, stone and brick, the park is a monument to the feelings of community still found in this unique small town.

Bolivar Nature Park

Location: 294 Jefferson Street/Harpers Ferry, WV 25425
Description: Located on Primrose Alley this 7-acre park is filled with plenty of botanical delights. A walking trail allows you to stroll through the park where you can relax on a bench and watch the deer graze. A gazebo and picnic tables are available for your convenience at the parks entrance.




Charles Town Skate Park

Location: Located on the former Maytag parking lot in downtown Charles Town, entrance to the park is located at the corners of West and North Streets.
Description: The park is open daily from dawn to dusk, weather permitting. Use of the park is FREE to the public. SKATING IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. Featuring a half-pipe, quarter pipe, grind rail, bank rail, stairs, picnic table and other equipment with a steel riding surface, the park is usable for skaters of all levels. Two benches and a picnic table also provide seating for spectators.


Evitts Run Park

Location: Evitt's Run/Charles Town, WV
Description: The park features a recently resurfaced regulation basketball court, a second multi-use court, a recently installed play structure and other playground equipment, benches, picnic tables, an outdoor grill, and one pavilion. Fishing is even permitted in Evitts Run!! The pavilion is available for rent for private parties and other events. Description: The center has a fitness center with a variety of exercise machines and weights. It also boasts a 600-seat gymnasium and several meeting rooms, as well as a full kitchen that can be reserved for use.


Jefferson Memorial Park

Location: 400 Forrest Ave/Charles Town, WV 25414
Description: Located just six blocks from the center of town, Jefferson Memorial Park is a great place to have fun or just relax. Features include a 40' x 75' public swimming pool, 20' x 20' wading pool, walking trail (7/10 of a mile), three tennis courts, two basketball courts, two playground areas and four rental pavilions.

Leetown Park

Location: 56 Jefferson Orchard Road/Leetown, WV 25430
Description: This 10-acre park has been a gathering place for local softball games for over 30 years. Amenities include two lighted softball fields, tennis courts, a playground, horseshoe pits, concession stand and restroom facilities. Picnic pavilion (no power available), is available for a rental fee of $75.00 per day. Tennis courts at Leetown Park are locked but are still accessible to the public by calling the JCPRC office at 304-728-3207.



Morgan's Grove Park

Location: 4198 Kearneysville Pike/Shepherdstown, WV 25443
Description: This park has over 20 acres of shaded trees, meadows, playgrounds, and spring-fed streams. A 1500 sq.ft. covered picnic pavilion with a full kitchen and restroom facility offers the perfect place to host any event. Other features of the park include playground equipment, soccer fields, sand volleyball, horseshoe pits, and a 3/4 mile walking trail.


Moulton Park

Location: 716 Bloomery Road/Charles Town, WV 25414
Description: This half-mile of river frontage features camping and other recreational opportunities. A public boat ramp offers access for fishing on the Shenandoah River. Camping is allowed by permit only. Camping Permits may be purchased at the Jefferson County Community Center for $10 per night.


Mt. Mission Park

Location: 4210 Mission Road/Harpers Ferry, WV 25425
Description: This picturesque 3 1/2 acre park is located on Mission Road. Shaded by oak and maple trees, the picnic pavilion, complete with restroom and kitchen faciliites has played host to family reunions, receptions, and the like. A playground, sand volleyball and horseshoe pits make this park a convenient site for neighborhood get-togethers.


Sam Michael's Park

Location: 235 Sam Michael's Lane/Shenandoah Junction, WV 25442
Description: The park offers the Jefferson County Community Center as well as a reservable picnic pavilion. The pavilion includes picnic tables, kitchen, and grill. Nestled within the park are little league fields, a playground, horseshoe pits, a new 1/2 mile walking trail and a sand volleyball court. Pets are permitted. We now provide a fenced in area so that your dog can come out to play and meet new friends! All we ask if that you please leash your pet and clean up after them. South Jefferson Park

Location: 4095 Leetown Road/Summit Point, WV 25446
Description: Located on Route 1 this 71-acre park accommodates 6 baseball fields, concession stand, a playground, sand volleyball court, basketball court, tennis courts, restrooms, and picnic pavilion. It is a great place to relax and spend a day in the park.





Willingham Knolls Park

Location: located on Old Cave Rd. near the intersection of Rt. 340.
Description: A beautiful passive recreational park in a rural setting, Willingham Knolls features a 0.6 mile hard-surface walking trail, benches and footbridges over Evitts Run which flows through the southeast portion of the park.
